we are setting sail for Charleston this weekend and I may not have internet.

but I will blog whenever I do.

as for new stuff in Oriental, there isn't much but we did see some jellyfish: yes that blob like bubble is a jellyfish,

I know it isn't the best picture but that was the best I could do.

they're kind of scary cause there are just so many.

I am sooo excited cause I get my cast of like a week earlyer (woo hoo!!!!!!)

woo hoo!!

I finally turned Fourteen. I am sooo happy, can you tell how happy I am? huh, can you??

alright I finally got the pic of the new name on our boat

we are still at my grandparents cause the boat yard people are still working on our boat :-(

we were invaded by pirates last week

but, even one handed, I fended them of and was crowned champion of the east coast.

no just kidding, they were actually replicas of two of Columbus's ships heading two Beaufort for, uh, something.

alright that is all I can think of right now

but I will have hopefully a lot more once we leave the dock.

I broke my knuckle,
it's nothing special. just a splint for four weeks, which means I can't sail.

hey..why aren't we moving?

ok,

so first, I lost internet and that is why I didn't blog yesterday
and as for the 'why aren't we moving' thing, well, I'll just let you figure that out

that (to answer your question) is the bottom of our boat

and yes, it is out of the water.

you see, we had to be hauled out so that we could get some work done on the boat

again I am sorry that I am the worst blogger ever. but now as long as I have internet I will try to do it every monday, so start checking then.

OK, this was forever ago but we went to the 5th annual dog parade here are some pics:

the dog parade is where you dress up your dog and walk around town, there are like twelve categories and winners for all of them, take max (last pic) who dressed up like Dorothy and won best over all.

I had a very bad hair day yesterday:

so I ended up wearing a hat all day, which was awful cause I was in the sun and it was like 85 degrees, and 75% humidity.

so this trimaran pulled up today and I got to help it tie itself to the dock, it was really cool.

I will have a picture of me on the boat next monday (which was requested by at least three of my friends) and some pics of the boats I've seen so far (including the trimaran).

p.s. I went sailing for my first time today

*grumble* *putter* *putter* SHUTDOWN SHUTDOWN

ok sorry I didn't get the vid on but I couldn't figure out my camcorder. but I did get some really awesome pics! but I don't have my camera cord so you wont get those until later :) so for now I will tell you about my day today. ok so we sailed (motored) over night last night and I woke up this morning to the engine dieing, we fixed it. then later we were motoring down a waterway and had to dodge like five 100 or 120 ft tankers. and that was scary. but wait!! there's more. our engine had gone out again so we had to put the sails up to ovoid being run over by the tankers. then we had to be towed by a tow boat to the nearest marina. so right now I am sitting in my boat relaxing after a hard days dodging session. oh yeah and before I forget, last night while we were motoring we pasted whithin 150 yards a of big tanker so that was kinda freaky.

Gale

Well last night I went through my first gale (for those of you who don't know what that is, it's wind blowing at at least 35 Kt.) and now the weather is suppose to get worse :(. now we have a high winds warning through today and ending at midnight, and they are calling for winds up to 45 to 50 Kt. which is the equivalent of 55 to 60 mph!!!
you guys (and girls) should have heard the wind last night it was sooo loud, and the boat was rocking back and forth side to side.
and I should have a video soon so you can see and hear the weather outside I will hopefully have it later today, but I have to figure out how to get videos to lode onto blogger

Not gone yet...

I know I'm not really gone yet but some of you have been asking and asking me when I will start my blog. so here it is. and right now I am sitting on my new boat, rocking back and forth with winds blowing at like 20 Kt. and it's really cold (mostly because of the wind) I will be putting pics and vids on so everybody can see the boat and the places we will be
